Braxton Rose had 15 rushes for 125 yards and a touchdown for Newton County Academy as the Generals rolled to a 35-12 win against Sylva Bay Academy in Friday night MAIS football action.

Sage Gunn added 17 rushes for 131 yards and two touchdown for the Generals, while Logan Tadlock chippd in with 16 carries for 95 yards. Logan Little got things done in the red zone, as he had five rushes for 45 yards and two touchdowns for Newton County Academy.

Defensively, Gunner Bounds had a fumble recovery and interception, while Austin Pippin added six tackles for Newton County Academy.

The Generals (2-1) will travel to Carroll Academy next week.
