A one-vehicle crash killed driver Jeremy Donald Thompson on Minnow Bucket Road overnight Wednesday after the car ran off the roadway.

Thompson, 33, died at the scene, according to Lauderdale County Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun.

Calhoun said the vehicle ran off the roadway and struck trees sometime around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, killing Thompson, of Lockhart Trailer Road near the Naval Air Station in Meridian.
