A man was injured in a shooting in Meridian Sunday evening, authorities said.

The shooting occurred on the 4700 block of Royal Road around 7:30 p.m., according to Meridian Police Department Sgt. Dareall Thompson. 

The victim in the shooting hasn’t cooperated with police or identified the shooter, Thompson said. 

The man’s injuries don’t appear to be life-threatening, Thompson said. 

Thompson said police were still at the scene at 8 p.m.
