• Online registration is underway for the Golden Triangle Comic-Con – an event that will feature costume contests, console and Local Area Network (LAN) gaming, vendor displays and more. • 10 a.m.-6 p.m. – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department will hold a blood drive with Mississippi Blood Services at the Lauderdale Sheriff’s Department. Donors will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last).

• 4:30 p.m. – YA – 7th-12th grade STEM activity at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.

Thursday, Aug. 10

• 10 a.m. – The EMBDC will have a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening of Mosquito Joe at Dumont Plaza.

Sunday, Aug. 13

• 9 a.m. – Liberty Baptist Church, Highway 493 in Kemper County (across from coal plant) will have their 175th-year Celebration with a Cemetery and Church Tour followed by speeches from former pastors, and a sermon by the current pastor, Dennis Robinson, with lunch following. • Noon- There will be a Mississippi Legal Services seminar at the Meridian Activity Center. Topics include Wills, Birth Certificates Corrections, Living Wills, Power of Attorney.

• 2-3 p.m. – Genealogy K-6th Grade at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.

• 7: 30 p.m. – The MSU Riley Center will re-create a magical gathering of four young music superstars with it presents One Night in Memphis: The number one tribute to Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash.
