Sporting Clays event scheduled

The eighth annual Sporting Clays for Character is scheduled for Aug. 18, at Binachi Shooting Sports east of Meridian.

The event will be opened with a dinner and auction Thursday evening before the competition at Hamasa Temple Shrine, 5516 Dale Drive, Marion, from 6-9 p.m. The meal will be by Pretty Presentations.

Shooters will register at Binachi the next day at 8 a.m. with shooting beginning at 9. A break for lunch is scheduled from 11:30 to 12:30. Lunch will be served by Circle S Catering. Shooting begins at 1 p.m. and the awards ceremony occurs at 4 p.m. 

Shooting teams will consist of four shooters. Golf carts are appropriate and encouraged. Four wheelers are not approved for the event. Contact Ken Kercheval at 601-693-6757 for complete information and to register for the event.
