Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 6 a.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday:

• Fugitive from justice – Theodric Lamar Davis, 44, 4308 35th St., Meridian.

• Contempt of court – Anna Shea Downey-Cummins, 43, 9384 Mayerhoff Road, Meridian.

• Possession of controlled substance – Craig A. Gordon, 1719 Highway 19 North 63, Meridian.

• Possession of cocaine – Marqueze Brandell Gordon, 30, 5717 Valley St., Meridian. Gordon is also charged with possession of controlled substance.

• Driving under the influence – Joe Johnson, born in 1979, 2617 17th Street. Johnson is also charged with disorderly conduct, improper equipment, disregard of traffic device, no driver’s license, failure to yield.

• DUI – Lawrence Lewis, born in 1954, 200 23rd St.

• Shoplifting – Kenyatta Walker, born in 1995, 1426 30th Ave.

• Simple assault/domestic – Kyle Cooks, born in 1986, 685 Tuscaloosa St.

• Public drunk – Michael Boyd, born in 1971, 1304 37th Ave.

• DUI – James Phillips, born in 1984, 11615 Old Highway 80 West. Phillips is also charged with driving without headlights.

• DUI – Rodriquzes Bell, born in 1977, 7100 Old Highway 80 West.

• Shoplifting – Jack Lewis, born in 1965, 2255 Old 8th St.

• Trespassing – Jeffery Smith, born in 1998, homeless.

• Disorderly conduct – Charbrecia Stevens, born in 1995, 3012 12th St.

• Meridian Police responded to 2 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests from 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday.

• Domestic violence – Kolin Jevon Boyd, 31, 4896 W. Crescent Lake Drive, Meridian. Boyd is also charged with failure to appear.

• Trespassing – Shirley Burton, 68, 7297 J O Thomas Road, Toomsuba. Updated 9/3/2019: Justice Court Judge Ricky Roberts ordered record expunged on Oct. 25, 2017.

• Contraband in a correctional facility – Kamasha Deon Carter, 27, 309 Williams Street, Hattiesburg.

• Domestic violence/simple assault – Melissa Amanda Dew, 37, 1398 Will Wright Road, Meridian.

• Driving under the influence/first offense – Stanley Wayne Fortner, 47, 5603 Zero Road, Meridian.

• Child support failure to pay/two counts – Joe Edward Johnson, 39, 2617 17th St., Meridian.

• Possession of methamphetamine – Bobby Joe Mason, 37, 299 Betts Radcliff Road, Meridian. Mason is also charged with possession of cocaine.

• Trespassing – Christine Naylor, 58, 8679 Johnny Bailey Road, Bailey. Updated 9/3/2019: Justice Court Judge Ricky Roberts ordered record expunged on Oct. 25, 2017.

• Trespassing – David Naylor, Jr., 21, 8697 Johnny Bailey Road, Bailey. Updated 9/3/2019: Justice Court Judge Ricky Roberts ordered record expunged on Oct. 25, 2017.

• Failure to appear/twelve counts – Issac L. Nealy, 33, 200 23rd St. 1374, Meridian.

• Possession of methamphetamine – Michael Brandon Owens, 38, 8933 Pine Springs Road, Meridian. Owens is also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, a sale of hydrocodone and acetaminophen, a sale of controlled substance, child support/failure to pay.

• Probation violation/parole – Barry Dontonio Robinson, Jr., 36, 1529 47th Ave., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – James Tyrone Smith, 43, 1703 8th Ave., Meridian.

• Rape statutory/four counts – John Richard Smith, 34, 299 Ponta Hills Drive, Meridian. Smith is also charged with kidnapping.  *The charges against Smith have been expunged as of Aug. 23, 2022, according to documents from the Lauderdale County Circuit Court.

• No driver’s license – Jason Speed, 27, 1006 Myrtle Drive, Meridian.

• Trespassing – Deborah Stokes, 65, 11558 Jeff Hearn Road, Collinsville. Updated 9/3/2019: Justice Court Judge Ricky Roberts ordered record expunged on Oct. 25, 2017.
