• 6-7 p.m. – The Mississippi Department of Human Services/Division of Youth Services of Lauderdale County will conduct a Community Forum to receive input from the community, and discuss the settlement agreement entered with the Department of Justice. The forum will be held at 31st Avenue Baptist Church, 3411 20th Street.

Wednesday, July 26

• 10:10 a.m. – Dr. Mark Keenum, president of Mississippi State University, will speak at the Neshoba County fair during Meridian Day activities at Founder’s Square.

• 11 a.m. – Meridian Day at the Neshoba County Fair. Representatives from Meridian will be there to showcase our Hospitals, City, Colleges, and Military. If you would like to donate a door prize please contact EMBDC 601-693-1306.

• 4:30 p.m. – STEM Activity and Pizza in a mug for YA (7th-12th Grade) at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.

• 6 p.m. – Historic First Union MB Church, 610 38th Avenue in Meridian, will have Mid-Week Family and Friends with prayer, praise, worship, and preaching. All are invited to attend.

Thursday, July 27

• 9 a.m.-3 p.m. – “Stuff the Bus” School Supply and Uniform Drive for Kemper County at Pilgrim’s Foodliner in DeKalb. From 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the EMCC Lion football team will be taking pictures and signing autographs. During the day of the drive, The Liberty Shop in downtown Meridian will offer 10 percent discount on uniform purchases.

• 4:30 p.m. – K-6th Grade Storytime at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.

Saturday, July 29

• 9 a.m. – The annual Believe Women’s Conference “Through It All” will be held at Northcrest Baptist Church, located at 3412 North Hills Street in Meridian, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. Speakers will be Jodi Pope, Charlotte Bise, Kristi Williamson, and Georgia Saileau with soloist Eadie Caver. • 11 a.m.-3 p.m. – The Meridian High School Class of 1972 will have their 45th class reunion at Dumont Plaza Park in downtown Meridian.

Sunday, July 30

• 11 a.m. – Historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their annual Family and Friends Day with praise, worship, and preaching. Special guest speaker will be the Rev. David Ellington of Old Elam Missionary Baptist Church of Montgomery, Ala. along with his church family.

• 11 a.m. – New Beginning United Methodist Church will have their second annual Christmas in July Mission Service. Mission items collected with help support three local charities. Pastor Sidney Luvene will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited to attend.

Monday, July 31

• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. – A Community Bank Blood Drive will be held at The Clarion-Ledger by Mississippi Blood Services and sponsored by Community Bank in honor of Sid Salter.
