Saturday, July 22
• 8:30 a.m. – The third annual Clarke Country River Run on the Chickasawhay River will be Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Registration fee is $30 and includes a T-shirt and one chance to win a kayak and/or other prizes. FMI: Contact the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce at 601-776-5701.
• 1 p.m. – The Meridian MS Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club will be giving out school supplies to kids within the Meridian Community Areas. Bring your kids out, we would love to greet them. Location: In the parking lot of the Council of Organization Bldg. 814 45th Avenue, Meridian.
• 3:30 p.m. – Friends will gather at Sandy Ridge Blue Grass Park. Bring a covered dish for supper at 6 p.m. Free admission. FMI: 601-644-3701.
• 7 p.m. – The Rose Hill Company presents “The Rose Hill Revue” (Telling the stories of Historic Rose Hill Cemetery) onstage at the Meridian Little Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. FMI: Call 601-482-6371.

• 10 a.m. – The annual Dearing Family Reunion will be held at the Mississippi Christian Service Center Camp on Highway 15 – 3 miles south of Decatur. Bring a covered dish, any family pictures you wish to share, and written family information updates. FMI: Call Sherry at 601-485-7943.

• 11 a.m. – Adult Coloring at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.
Tuesday, July 25

• 10 a.m. – Baby/Toddler Storytime at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.
• 4:30 p.m. – Chess Club at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library.
• 6-7 p.m. – The Mississippi Department of Human Services/Division of Youth Services of Lauderdale County will conduct a Community Forum to receive input from the community, and discuss the settlement agreement entered with the Department of Justice. The forum will be held at 31st Avenue Baptist Church, 3411 20th St.
Wednesday, July 26
• 8:30 a.m. – There will be an AARP Smart Driver Class for 55 and older at the RSVP-United Way Office Building, 4817 N Park Dr. Ste V. AARP members $15, non-members $20. Good for three years. FMI: 601-482-0512.
• 11 a.m. – Meridian Day at the Neshoba County Fair. Representatives from Meridian will be there to showcase our Hospitals, City, Colleges, and Military. If you would like to donate a door prize please contact EMBDC 601-693-1306.

• 11 a.m.-3 p.m. – The Meridian High School Class of 1972 will have its 45th class reunion at Dumont Plaza Park in downtown Meridian.
Sunday, July 30
• 11 a.m. – Historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Family and Friends Day with praise, worship, and preaching. Special guest speaker will be the Rev. David Ellington of Old Elam Missionary Baptist Church of Montgomery, Ala. along with his church family.
• 11 a.m. – New Beginning United Methodist Church will have their second annual Christmas in July Mission Service. Mission items collected with help support three local charities. Pastor Sidney Luvene will be the guest speaker. Everyone is invited to attend.
Monday, July 31
• 8 a.m.-5 p.m. – A Community Bank Blood Drive will be held at The Clarion-Ledger by Mississippi Blood Services and sponsored by Community Bank in honor of Sid Salter.
Sunday, August 20
• 10 a.m. – Arkadelphia Baptist Church in Bailey will be having Homecoming on Aug. 20. Sunday School at 10 a.m.; Worship service at 11 a.m. Guest speaker Bro. Mike Russell. Potluck meal follows worship.
