11 a.m.-3 p.m. – The Meridian High School Class of 1972 will hold its 45th class reunion June 28-30. A picnic will be held at Dumont Plaza in downtown Meridian.
Friday, June 30
9 a.m. – There will be a volunteer training for individuals interested in prison ministry at MCC’s “Magnolia Hall.” FMI: 601-485-5255.
9 a.m.-11 a.m. – The East Mississippi Correctional Facility annual prison Volunteer Training and Recertification will be held at Meridian Community College Magnolia Hall, 4500 Highland Park Drive across from the Frank Cochran Center. FMI: 601-485-5255.

11 a.m.-3 p.m. – The Meridian First Saturday Art Walk will be held in downtown Meridian. A variety of artists will exhibit at Dumont Plaza, the Meridian Museum of Art, the Brickhaus, and other downtown businesses. For more information about the event go to the Meridian Art Walk Facebook page.

5:30 p.m. – City of Meridian hosts annual July 4th Celebration at Bonita Lakes.
Wednesday, July 5
11:30 a.m. – The monthly meeting of the Central MS Chapter 1251 of NARFE (National Active and Retired Federal Employees) will meet at Ronnie’s Steak and Grill, 734 Pecan Avenue, Philadelphia. All active and retired federal employees and spouses are invited to attend. FMI: Call 601-389-1946.

10 a.m.-4 p.m. – Mississippi Blood Services will be holding a community blood drive in Meridian at McAlister’s Deli on Bonita Lakes Drive. Donors will receive a T-shirt (while supplies last). Donors must be at least 16 years old, weight at least 110 pounds and have a valid ID.

7 a.m. – Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at City Hall. Speaker Mr. Neddie Winters, President of Mission Mississippi commemorating the 14th Anniversary of the 2003 Lockheed tragedy for the 10th Annual Reconciliation Week Celebration.
Saturday, July 8
10 a.m. – Memorial Motorcycle Ride led by the Queen City Cruisers from Lockheed to Forest Lawn Cemetery commemorating the 14th Anniversary of the 2003 Lockheed tragedy for the 10th Annual Reconciliation Week Celebration.
7 p.m. – Historical Country Music Concert at Neshoba Lake to celebrate Mississippi’s 200th Birthday with a free concert. Scott McQuaig & The Tomcats. Free admission. Food available for purchase courtesy of Piggly Wiggly of Collinsville. Bicentennial T-shirts and cups available for purchase.

Reconciliation Sunday – local churches are encouraged to pray for reconciliation commemorating the 14th anniversary of the 2003 Lockheed tragedy for the 10th annual Reconciliation Week Celebration.
Monday, July 10
10:30 a.m.-noon – Free lemonade/music at Dumont Plaza commemorating the 14th Anniversary of the 2003 Lockheed tragedy for the 10th Annual Reconciliation Week Celebration.
11 a.m. – There will be a Veterans Town Hall for discharging service members, veterans, their families and survivors at the Mississippi State Branch, Kahlmus Auditorium, 1000 Highway 19 North, Meridian. 6 p.m. – Women Who Win – a non-denominational gathering of women of faith, will hold its Summer Session at the Lauderdale Baptist Association Building, 5521 Clinton St., Marion. Guest speaker is Shirley Sollie, a retired RN who is a double lung transplant recipient. 6 p.m. – The International Singing Brakeman Association (TISBA) will have their regular monthly meeting at the Red Roof Inn (formerly Best Western), located at 2219 South Frontage Road.
