Mr. and Mrs. Johnny White of DeKalb and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Bishop of Waynesboro are delighted to announce the marriage of their children, Janice Marie and Cory Michael.

The couple were married in a private ceremony on Saturday, April 13, 2017, at the Lauderdale County Courthouse in Meridian.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester White of DeKalb and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Houston of Scooba. She is a graduate of Kemper Academy and a 2012 graduate of Meridian Community College receiving an associate’s degree in nursing.

Mrs. Bishop is currently employed with Rush GI Lab as Dr. Eddie C. Starnes nurse.

The bridegroom is the grandson of the late Mr. David Bishop of Shubuta and the late Mrs. Elizabeth of Brewton, Ala., and Mrs. Delores Parker and the late Mr. Francis Parker of Quitman. He is a graduate of Wayne Academy and a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Mr. Bishop is currently self- employed.

A reception honoring the happy couple will be held at a later date.

Along with little Miss Layla Anne Soriano, the bride’s daughter, the newlyweds will make their home in Meridian.
