Pringle congratulated Johnson Tuesday night as Johnson supporters surrounded him and cheered.

“I appreciate the clean race that we ran,” Johnson said. “To the citizens, now it’s our time to move forward. There are great things yet to come and it’s not over yet.”

Pringle expressed his gratitude for the community members who did vote in the election.

“Thank you to all the people that did vote,” Pringle said. “With my two-person team, I think we did a great job.”

Johnson will face Republican Christopher Von Cockrell in the June 6 general election.
