Starring in this family friendly production is Jennie House as Violet Newstead. House holds a master’s degree in music education and is a music instructor with Northeast Middle School and High School. She also has extensive experience both on and back stage.

Sharing the spotlight will be Sara Odom as Doralee Rhodes. Odom is an MLT favorite with her most recent role as Carrie Rodgers in last year’s production of “Jimmie Rodgers: America’s Blue Yodeler.” Odom serves the community with the United Way of East Mississippi.

Joining House and Odom will be Emily White Mathis as Judy Burnley. Mathis has been playing and singing since she was 15 and recorded her first CD when she was 16. This will mark Mathis’ debut with Meridian Little Theatre.

Karen Elmore plays Roz Keith and is returning to MLT after an 18-year absence. Elmore is employed at Sanders Gas Company.

Brian Smith is also familiar to MLT audiences, having played King Arthur in MLT’s most recent production of “Camelot.” Smith plays Franklin Hart Jr., otherwise known as “The Boss.”

The supporting cast includes a long list of talented individuals, some familiar faces on the MLT stage: Aa’Keela Hudnall, Allen Hunt, Ashley Rickles, Connie B. Gruno, Chris Webster, Randy Wayne, Virginia White and Zena Limerick.

The production will also feature several new faces: Dalton Newell, Darby Kinney, Sarah Bolstad, Flora McDonald, Ansley Slaughter, Brittney Newell, Darby Smithson, Laquinton Holiday and Madeline Callahan.
