MPSD 2017 Reading Fair winners announced

Submitted photoThe Meridian Public School District hosted the annual District Reading Fair recently. Reading Fair winners from each school within the Meridian Public School District came together to compete for the opportunity to move on to the Regional Reading Fair which is held at Mississippi State University – Meridian Campus in February.

The following Meridian Public School District students were first place winners in the District Reading Fair, and qualified to compete in the Regional Reading Fair:

Division A – Jhamir Chess, Poplar Springs Elementary School

Division B – Maliyah Randle, T.J. Harris Lower Elementary School

Division C – M. J. Johnson, Poplar Springs Elementary School

Division D – Caden Allen, T.J. Harris Upper Elementary School

Division H – Taderriyon Forbes, Crestwood Elementary School
