50TH ANNIVERSARY

- Jackie and Sandra McLaughlin of Meridian celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017. Several of the couple’s friends and family surprised them with a weekend getaway in historic Natchez. The happy couple, along with David & Cassie Carroll (their daughter and son-in-law), Zach & Lynn Martin (Sandra’s brother and sister-in-law), and Tom & Judy Warden (the couple’s best friends) spent an extended weekend at The Burn House in Natchez. Throughout the weekend, they toured several historic homes, visited a rum distillery, and went on a guided carriage ride of Natchez. The evening of Feb. 18, they celebrated their 50 wonderful years with an elegant dinner at The Castle Restaurant of the Dunleith Mansion. The McLaughlins were married Saturday, February 18, 1967, at 4 p.m. at Parkview Church of God in Meridian. They have two children, Cassie Carroll of Jackson and Jack McLaughlin of Atlanta, Ga.
