Practice Administrator Ross Brown said, “We are proud to have nine established cardiologists on our team with a common goal — to provide the highest quality cardiovascular care available for our patients in Meridian, Lauderdale County and the surrounding areas.”

As a world-leader in preventing, detecting and treating cardiovascular disease, CIS uses a variety of methods to diagnose forms of heart disease such as treadmill tests, lab work, ultrasound and nuclear tests, as well as cardiac telemetry and electrocardiograms. Your physician determines which tests you may need to both prevent and treat disease.

CIS also provides many treatment options for conditions such as carotid artery disease, peripheral artery disease, valvular disease and venous disease. CIS physicians have pioneered minimally-invasive and advanced treatment methods for these conditions. These interventional procedures offer patients more treatment options with less discomfort and quicker recoveries. Each patient is evaluated on a case-by case basis to determine the best course of treatment.

CIS is internationally recognized for remaining on the forefront of medical research, using advanced technology coupled with compassionate care. CIS physicians also serve as educators around the world for groundbreaking devices and treatments in the industry.

Founded in Houma, Louisiana in 1983, CIS now has 15 locations, 600 employees and 60 physicians. CIS also manages several cardiology programs in Alabama.
