Dr. Seuss’ Silly Birthday Celebration will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Meridian Lauderdale County Public Library at  2517 7th Street, Meridian. Admission is free. This annual event is in conjunction with Read Across America, an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading around the birthday of beloved children’s author, Dr. Seuss.

Activities include: Cat in the Hat-Hat Making, One Fish, Two Fish Game, Lorax Moustache March, Wocket in My Pocket, Scavenger Hunt Stack the Cat’s Hat, and Story Times with Celebrity Readers.
