Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Simple assault, domestic – Frankie Eugene Pruitt, 36, 2711 11th St., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence (DUI), Carlos Mosley, born in 1976, 319 49th Ave., Meridian. Mosley is also charged with violation of noise ordinance.

• Trespassing – Lakeisha Gale, born in 1975, 2427 Fourth Ave., Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Wesley Scott Hillhouse, 24, 527 Providence Road, Chunky. Hillhouse is also charged with no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license and contempt of court.

• Public drunkenness – Clifton Lewis, born in 1960, 527 43rd Ave., Meridian.

• Malicious mischief – Patrick Emanuel Yarbrough, 25, 1801 24th St., Meridian. Yarbrough is also charged with fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle, disregard of traffic device, driving with a suspended license, probation violation/parole and contempt for child support.

• Simple assault, domestic – Marlon Rue, 44, 29th Ave. Shelter, Meridian. Rue is also charged with simple assault on a minor.

• DUI – Christopher Dean, born in 1988, 383 Briarwood Road, Meridian. Dean is also charged with careless driving.

• DUI, first offense – Luis Perez, 42, 4077 Barron Ave., Memphis, Tenn.

• Public drunkenness – Ozie Townsend, born in 1959, 2113 27th Ave., Meridian.

• DUI – Monica Ivy, born in 1986, 3515 42nd Ave., Meridian.

• DUI – Akemus Adams, born in 1985, 903 33rd St., Meridian. Adams is also charged with no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license and no tag.

• Telephone harassment – Patrick Earl, born in 1980, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Larry Dean McCoy, 45, 503 54th Ave., Meridian. McCoy is also charged with no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license, disregard of traffic device and four counts of child endangerment.

• DUI – David Ruffin, 27, 156 Pine Ridge Road, Lisman, Ala. Ruffin is also charged with driving with a suspended license, no tag and three counts of child endangerment.

• Unlawful abuse/neglect of vulnerable adult – Steven Hosey, 45, 1113 23rd Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault, domestic – Rosie P. Armstrong, 32, 1914 25th Ave., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Taquantis Lavon Bell, 23, 2032 26th Ave., Meridian.

• Indecent exposure – Jessica D. Davis, 40, 2424 15th St., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Galathia Michelle Loper, 30, 41 Mega Evers Drive, DeKalb.

• Disorderly conduct – Jeremy Wayne McAdams, 33, 11034 Longleaf St., Collinsville. McAdams is also charged with resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.

• Manufacture of marijuana, felony – Willie Lee Nicholson, 50, 1324 44th Ave., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute – Cory Lashun Reed, 29, 1898 Bunk Newell Road, Meridian. Reed is also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone and contempt of court.

• DUI, first offense – Benjamin L. Ruffin, 33, 1318 19th St., Meridian. Ruffin is also charged with possession of marijuana and driving without a license.

• Simple assault, domestic – Henry James Sims, 52, 2006 22nd Ave., Meridian.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Friday through Sunday:

Auto Burglaries

• 1700 block of Second Street South, Meridian.

• 2800 block of Myrtlewood Drive, Meridian.

• 3500 block of 31st Street, Meridian.

Residential Burglary

• 2200 block of 47th Avenue, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 6 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Joseph Andrew Elfe Jr., 21, 9356 Hamrick Road, Collinsville.

• Possession of methamphetamine – Joel S. Griffith, 37, 820 Brag Ave., Meridian. Griffith is also charged with driving with a suspended license and violation of insurance card in vehicle law.

• DUI, first offense – Mardreekus Dewaun Horn, 23, 4415 15th Ave., Meridian. Horn is also charged with seat-belt violation, driving without a license, no liability insurance and possession of marijuana.

• Public drunkenness – Willie Hurde Jr., 44, 3756 Butts Road, Toomsuba.

• Possession of methamphetamine – Alicia Dawn Irby, 35, 9526 Pine Springs Road, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Marquetta Sherette Mitchell, 27, 2207 Eighth Ave., Meridian.

• Contempt for child support – Donnikia D. Ohara, 23, 2207 Eighth Ave., Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Gabino Rivera, 21, 3304 Limonero St., Mission, Texas. Rivera is also charged with disregard of traffic device.

• DUI, first offense – Merranda Schrank, 37, 3601 County Road 680, Quitman. Schrank is also charged with careless driving and disorderly conduct.

• Fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle – Donald Dewayne Toole, 30, 2803 St. Andrews St., Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Angela Williams, 44, 1618 Eighth Ave., Meridian. Williams is also charged with no liability insurance and driving with a suspended license.

Metro Ambulance reported 44 emergency runs Monday at 2 p.m.
