Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Jeremiah Mike Rushing, 27, 1611 18th Ave., Meridian. Rushing is also charged with disregard of traffic device, expired tag, no liability insurance and driving without a license.

• Shoplifting – Daniel Klin Prince, 36, 6618 Zero Road, Meridian.

• DUI – Andros Barfield, born in 1977, 10839 Highway 39, Meridian. Barfield is also charged with no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license and improper equipment.

• Malicious mischief – Jamie Vaughn, born in 1987, 4100 40th St., Meridian.

• Public drunkenness – Earlie Bagsdale, born in 1957, 528 Vally St., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Holly Sanderson, born in 1974.

Commercial Burglaries

• 2100 block of 24th Avenue, Meridian.

• 900 block of Highway 19 North, Meridian.

Residential Burglaries

• 5800 block of Mosby Road, Meridian.

• 6200 block of Highway 39 North, Meridian.

• 2000 block of 20th Avenue, Meridian.

• 3000 block of 12th Avenue, Meridian.

Robbery

• 2900 block of Tenth Avenue, Meridian.

Stolen Vehicles

• 2400 block of Highway 19 North, Meridian.

• 300 block of 11th Avenue South, Meridian.

Shootings

• 700 block of Martin Luther King Junior Drive, Meridian.

• South Frontage Road and Anderson Road, Meridian.

Meridian Police responded to 11 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

• Probation violation/parole – Timothy James Bowman, 33, 5581 Water Valley Road, Meridian.

• Uttering forgery – Willie Edward Cherry, 49,4015 Old Rock Road, Porterville.

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Richard Lewis Jr., 36, 2301 35th Ave., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Kimbreyanna Shunte Morris, 21, 2428 Old Marion Road, Meridian. Morris is also charged with contempt of court.

• Burglary of dwelling, house – Walter Lee Smith, 35, 1600 11th Ave., Meridian. Smith is also charged with aggravated assault and two counts of contempt of court.

• Indecent exposure – Charles Whitehead Jr., 48, 2174 Knox Road, Toomsuba. Whitehead is also charged with willful trespassing.
