Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Driving under the influence (DUI), third offense – Lendrey Darvan Brown, 37, 4803 Hopper St., Meridian. Brown is also charged with careless driving and driving with a suspended license.

• Fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle, two counts – Michael Carlos French, 49, 1930 Ninth Ave., Meridian.

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Christopher Blaise Johnson, 35, 2201 42nd St., Meridian.

• Grand larceny – Troy Allen Nix, 33, 11689 Old Highway 80, Meridian.

• Lustful touching of a child – Richard E. Paul, 61, 6536 North Hills St., Meridian.

• Public drunkenness – Earl Ragsdale Jr., 59, 528 Valley St., Forest. 

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Underage consumption – Ethan Tyler Bozeman, 20, 616 Columbus Ave., Philadelphia.

• Malicious mischief/vandalism – Micheal Ladell Brewster, 33, 4808 Hickory Hill Circle, Meridian.

• Simple assault causing bodily injury – Kevin Lois Gressett, 30, 4802 Shelby Gressett Road, Toomsuba.

• Possession of stolen firearm – Darnell Lasha Hare, 23, 5652 Cooper Circle, Meridian. Hare is also charged with felon in possession of firearm.

• DUI, first offense – Brontarious Devon Hersey, 25, 2214 28th Ave., Meridian. Hersey is also charged with failure to yield right of way, seat-belt violation, violation of child restraint law, child endangerment and possession of marijuana in vehicle.

• Trafficking in a controlled substance – Harrison Kim, 29, 10772 Camrilla Court, John’s Creek, Ga.

• Burglary of commercial building, cars, etc. – Ashley Fay Nichole Melton, 24, 6772 Center Hill Road, Bailey.

• DUI, third offense – Johnny Bernard Simpson, 42, 3526 Susan Kennedy Road, Toomsuba.
