Meridian Community College announced Wednesday afternoon its scheduled men’s basketball game against East Mississippi Community College Thursday night at the Graham Gymnasium has been cancelled. 

The game has been forfeited by MCC due to the suspension by the NJCAA of several players from an incident that occurred Dec. 15 in a 91-75 victory over Faulkner State Community College. 

The MCC women will still play their regularly scheduled game against East Mississippi at 5:30 p.m. at the Graham Gymnasium. The MCC women are currently 7-2 overall for the 2016-17 regular season and have won five straight games heading into their showdown with the Lady Lions.
