Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Receiving stolen property – Diallo Devonta Bell, 20, 3655 Knox Road, Meridian.

• Malicious mischief/vandalism – Anthony Danquarius Brown, 24, 1512 45th Ave., Meridian.

• Fugitive from justice – Sean Gregory Byrd, 27, 216 Penn Boulevard, Lansdowne, Pa.

• Driving under the influence (DUI), second offense – Mark E. Carmichael, 58, 2756 Quitman Road, Quitman. Carmichael is also charged with careless driving.

• Aggravated assault, two counts – Talimon Rodriquez Edwards, 29, 3005 Seventh St., Meridian. Edwards is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm and three counts of failure to appear (justice court).

• Manslaughter, culpable negligence – Jalen Lakeith Jennings, 21, 654 Conehatta St., Marion. Jennings is also charged with possession of stolen firearm and tampering with physical evidence.

• Simple assault, domestic – Michael M. Luster, 28, 2329 Fourth St., Meridian.

• Domestic violence – Corie Damarius McCallum, 30, 1312 35th Ave., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Franklin Edward Null, 50, 100 North Fairley St., Quitman. Null is also charged with public drunkenness.

• Disorderly conduct – Jerry D’Juan Williams, 18, 104 Rocking Court, Gulfport.

• Burglary – Justin Freeze, born in 1995, 277 Betts-Radcliff Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault – Julitta Holton, born in 1992, 1619 51st Ave., Meridian. Holton is also charged with trespassing.

• Willful trespassing – Reva Ashford, born in 1986, 1701 36th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault, threat – Jeremy Killins, born in 1971, homeless.

• Petit larceny – Nicholas Moody, born in 1983, 4824 Newell Road, Meridian. Moody is also charged with unauthorized use of vehicle.

• Simple assault – George Jackson, born in 1990, 4408 Paulding St., Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Charles Spencer, born in 1964, 419 Jeffery Acres Road, Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Jamal Matthews, born in 1997, 4735 Fifth St., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Vernon Bailey, born in 1980, 1443 43rd Ave., Meridian.

• DUI – James Timms, born in 1980, 5060 Long Creek Road, Meridian. Timms is also charged with child endangerment, no liability insurance and reckless driving.

• DUI, other substance – Keith Austin Jr., born in 1991, 5727 Vally St., Meridian. Austin is also charged with driving without lights.

• Possession of marijuana – Cortez Barfield, born in 1990, 3840 36th St., Meridian. Barfield is also charged with public drunkenness, littering and disorderly conduct.

• DUI – Derrick Walker, born in 1978, 2305 D St., Meridian. Walker is also charged with possession of marijuana, no liability insurance and driving without a license.

• Simple assault – William Melton, born in 1954, 5808 Cherokee Road, Meridian.

• Shoplifting, third offense – Bobby Carlisle, born in 1951, 2518 17th Ave., Meridian.

• Shooting in the city – Scott Riley, born in 1989, 11210 County Road 430, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Russell Adams, born in 1988, 2903 Hillcrest Drive, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Shermaina Ruffin, born in 1997, 1913 26th Ave., Meridian. Ruffin is also charged with improper equipment.

• DUI – Benjamin Ruffin, born in 1983, 2453 36th Place, Meridian. Ruffin is also charged with careless driving.

• DUI – Rashaud Blakney, born in 1988, 1509 32nd Ave., Meridian. Blakney is also charged with improper equipment and no liability insurance.

• Trespassing – Daniel Crowell, born in 1997, 2239 38th St., Meridian.

• Trespassing – Antryaan Hopson, born in 1998, 3503 42nd St., Meridian.

• 800 block of 29th Street, Meridian.

• 1000 block of 14th Street, Meridian.

• 800 block of 42nd Avenue, Meridian.

Meridian Police responded to 67 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Failure to pay (justice court), three counts – Donald Wayne Alexander, 52, 4021 Pigford Lake Road, Meridian.

• Burglary of dwelling, house – Dekkar Allen Fleming, 25, 10670 Mayatt Road, Collinsville. Fleming is also charged with felon in possession of firearm, failure to appear (justice court) and two counts of failure to pay (justice court).

• Bad check, felony – Ashley Harrell, 29, 2126 Grand Ave., Meridian. Harrell is also charged with uttering forgery and contempt of court.

• DUI, first offense – Andrew Lee McWilliams, 58, 1216 33rd Ave., Meridian. McWilliams is also charged with failure to yield right of way, careless driving and driving with a suspended license.

• Public drunkenness – Sherry Jean Moss, 54, 902 27th Ave., Meridian.

• Armed robbery, two counts – Moody Onanis Phillips IV, 24, 2303 39th Avenue, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Reginald B. Smith, 56, 3617 Linton Road, Meridian. Smith is also charged with careless driving.

• Contempt for child support – Larry Lavon Watson, 35, 1722 30th Ave., Meridian.

• Domestic violence – David Wayne West, 29, 1070 Aycock Road, Meridian.

• Public drunkenness – Stephen Ricardo Williams, 29, 4313 Highland Park Drive, Meridian. Williams is also charged with possession of marijuana.
