Suspect charged in Frank Berry Courts shooting

Meridian police arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Frank Berry Courts in Meridian.
Talimon Edwards was arrested on the scene and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and being a felon in possession of a firearm, Sgt. Dareall Thompson said.
Edwards and the victim had been arguing for several weeks before the suspect shot him, Thompson said. There was one other person who was grazed by a bullet, he said. Both victims were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

Edwards is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Bond has been set at $250,000, Thompson said.
