Quarterback

Name: Eric Clark Jr.

School: Kemper County

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-0, 175 pounds

Why he’s here: Clark helped lead the Wildcats to an MHSAA Class 3A state championship this past season, passing for 3,400 yards and 42 touchdowns while throwing just nine interceptions. Clark also rushed for 1,004 yards and eight touchdowns. 

Running Back

Name: Derrick Moore

School: Enterprise High School

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-0, 175 pounds

Why he’s here: Moore was a force at running back for the Bulldogs, pounding his way to 1,597 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns while also tallying 294 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was named second-team All-State in MHSAA Class 2A and was first-team All-Region 5-2A.

Running Back

Name: Keshun Grace

School: West Lauderdale High School

Grade: Senior

Heigh/weight: 5-foot-11, 170 pounds

Why he’s here: Grace rushed 137 times for 1,163 yards and 13 touchdowns, while also catching the ball 13 times for 183 yards and three touchdowns, to help the Knights capture a perfect regular-season record and reach the second round of the MHSAA Class 4A postseason. For his efforts, Grace was named Region 5-4A Offensive Player of the Year.

Athlete

Name: Davis Harrison

School: Lamar School

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-1, 185 pounds

Why he’s here: As a senior, Harrison began the season at quarterback, hitting 62 of 126 passes for 963 yards and seven touchdowns before a shoulder injury forced him to sit out several weeks. Though he was unable to throw when he came back, he helped the Raiders to a Class AAAA, Division 2 championship by rushing for 731 yards and 13 touchdowns. Harrison also had a strong season at defensive back, tallying 38 tackles, two for a loss, and recovering three fumbles. He was named to the MAIS All-Star team.

Wide Receiver

Name: Mack Martin

School: Meridian High School

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-3, 190 pounds

Why he’s here: Martin was the Wildcats’ go-to receiver this season, tallying 76 catches for 1,140 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping his team to a 10-4, 5-2 record and a second-round playoff berth in MHSAA Class 6A. Martin was named second-team All-State in Class 6A and was selected to the Bernard Blackwell All-Star roster.

Wide Receiver

Name: DJ Clayton

School: Kemper County

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 5-foot-9, 170 pounds

Why he’s here: Clayton was Clark’s No. 1 target this season, as the star receiver hauled in 98 catches for 2,167 yards and 30 touchdowns to help his team win an MHSAA Class 3A state championship. Clayton was selected to the Bernard-Blackwell All-Star roster. 

Offensive Line

Name: John Dale

School: Kemper County

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-6, 300 pounds

Why he’s here: At offensive tackle, Dale helped anchor a unit that allowed quarterback Eric Clark Jr. to pass for 3,400 yards and have one 1,129-yard rusher in Chandler Roberts and a 608-yard rusher in R.J. Gowdy. Also a star basketball player for the Wildcats, Dale is committed to Memphis to continue his football career.

Offensive Line

Name: Landon Keely

School: Enterprise High School

Grade: Senior

Height: 6-foot-0, N/A

Why he’s here: Keely helped anchor an offensive line unit that liked to impose its will in the trenches and allow its stable of running backs to get free against opposing defenses. Keely graded out at 92 percent with 31 pancakes and no sacks given up. He was second-team All-State and first-team Region 5-2A.

Offensive Line

Name: Hunter Little

School: Union High School

Grade: Senior

Height/weight: 6-foot-2, 255 pounds

Why he’s here: Little was a key piece in an offensive line that allowed quarterback Tradarius Harris to rush for 1,122 yards and pass for 1,917 yards. A two-way lineman, Little was also a force on defense, tallying 79 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, eight sacks and five tackles for loss. Little is a two-time Class 2A All-State selection and was also a two-time Region 5-2A first-teamer.

Offensive Line

Name: Cole Freeman

School: West Lauderdale High School

Grade: Junior

Height/weight: 6-foot-1, 295 pounds

Why he’s here: At center, Freeman graded out at 90 percent on the season, finishing with 63 pancakes in helping his team to an undefeated regular season and an MHSAA Class 4A second-round playoff berth. He was named first-team All-State and was voted the Most Valuable Offensive Lineman in Region 5-4A. 

Offensive Line

Name: Jalen Carter

School: Meridian High School

Grade: Junior

Height/weight: 5-foot-11, 259 pounds

Why he’s here: Carter played center for the Wildcats, finishing with a 91-percent grade with 42 knockdowns and 35 cuts, helping his team reach the second round of the MHSAA Class 6A playoffs and finish with a 10-4 record.

ATH — Dalton Sanderford (Kemper Academy): 46-for-67 in passing for 1,309 yards and 19 TDs; 645 rushing yards and 14 TDs; 75 tackles on defense with 8 interceptions
