Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Domestic violence – Jeffery J. Alfred, 19, 3731 19th St., Meridian.

• Murder – Henry Jevada Clemons, 24, 430 Barham St., Philadelphia. Clemons is also charged with armed robbery.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Joshua McLaurien Kinard, 47, 5701 Clinton St., Marion. Kinard is also charged with trespassing, littering and contempt of court.

• Domestic violence – Janise Taylor Knighton, 22, 803 29th St., Meridian.

• Armed robbery – Jalon Ty’rek Shephard, 15, 408 Heritage St., Newton. Shephard is also charged with aggravated assault.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Possession of paraphernalia – Kevin Ray Bryant, 41, 3020 Nester Road, Meridian. Bryant is also charged with trespassing and littering.

• Trespassing – Jonathan Edward Ford, 30, 7701 Barnhill Road, Meridian. Ford is also charged with littering.

• Possession of controlled substance – Kerry Lakeith Hare, 46, 4316 21st St., Meridian.

• Contempt for child support – Steven Lee Nance, 39, 148 Mt. Horeb Road, Meridian.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Lauren Chelsea Poythress, 30, 5303 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian. Poythress is also charged with trespassing, littering and contempt of court.

• Failure to appear (justice court), four counts – Whitney Paige Stapp-Strickland, 23, 2156 Foreman Toles Road, DeKalb.

• Failure to appear (justice court) – Sherika Ameriandus Warren, 25, 2407 Valley Road, Meridian.
