Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Disorderly conduct – Kelvin McKee, 25, 109 Pecan St., Newton.

• Driving under the influence (DUI), third offense – Sandra Michelle Ruffin, 46, 4819 Manning St., Meridian. Ruffin is also charged with driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance, wrong way on one-way street, disorderly conduct and five counts of failure to appear (justice court).

• Disorderly conduct – Tunsyaan Stennis, 37, 1011 44th Ave., Meridian. Stennis is also charged with resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.

• DUI, third offense – Tracy Lee Sullivan Jr., 56, 2371 Jeff Davis School Road, Meridian. Sullivan is also charged with driving with a suspended license and no liability insurance.

• Aggravated assault – Chico Tarae Thurmond, 42, 5031 Shumate Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault, domestic – Thomas McClean, born in 1994, 5404 First St., Meridian.

Auto Burglary

• 200 block of 35th Avenue, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 6 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Probation violation/parole – Antonio Lashawn Brown, 24, 3402 40th Ave., Meridian.

• Petit larceny, two counts – Brian Keith Bradley, 39, 5334 Zero Road, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Billie Jo Emerson, 43, 419 Jeffery Acres Road, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Colby Fason, 31, 10636 Byrd Doerner Road, Collinsville. Fason is also charged with disregard of traffic device, switched tag/license plate, no liability insurance and possession of marijuana.

• Simple assault – Dajon Huggins, 19, 4503 Royal Road, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana in vehicle – Craig Alan Preston, 47, 204 Old Highway 80 East, Cuba, Ala.

• Probation violation/parole – Michael Allen Richards, 46, 2213 West Fourth St., Monhans, Texas.

• Violation of county animal ordinance – Stanley Ray Shearer, 44, 921 Daleville Prismatic Road, Daleville. Shearer is also charged with failure to pay (justice court) and trespassing upon land of another.
