On Thursday, a deputy discovered the body of Lonnie D. Lyles, of Newton, in the doorway of a residence on the 8600th block of Highway 19 North. Officials pronounced Lyles, 35, dead at the scene.

The home’s tenant, Delvrico Leveril Rigsby, was found alive at the scene and Metro Ambulance transported Rigsby, 26, to Rush Foundation Hospital. Rigsby died at Rush as a result of his gunshot wound.

Following a tip about a car tag from the community, deputies located and arrested Schwonda Denise Rogers, 32, and Melissa Jeanis Taylor, 27. Police charged both with accessory after the fact, with bond set at $10,000.

Calhoun said Taylor bonded out Friday.

Deputies located Jason D. Clayton, 28, in Brandon, Mississippi. They issued a warrant for his arrest Thursday and charged him with two counts of murder. Marshals arrested Clayton around 11:30 Friday and transport officers brought Clayton to the Lauderdale County Detention Center around 3 p.m. later that day. His bond has been set at $1 million for both charges, Calhoun said.

Bond for Price had been set at $10,000. Price bonded out on Saturday morning.
