Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:
• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Kenyatta T. Walker, 21, 1426 30th Ave., Meridian. Walker is also charged with public drunkenness.
• Disorderly conduct, two counts – Michael D. Portis, 41, 5806 Mosby Road, Meridian. Portis is also charged with disturbing the peace.
• Willful trespassing – Christopher Winfield, born in 1984, George Reece Apartments, Meridian.

Auto Burglary
• 4500 block of Highway 19 North, Meridian.
Residential Burglaries
• 1500 block of 19th Street, Meridian.
• 800 block of Braxton Avenue, Meridian.
Shootings
Meridian Police responded to 8 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence found to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:
• Driving under the influence (DUI), refusal to take test – Jamie Noelle Burns, 27, 4179 Dunrovin Road, Meridian.
• Contempt for child support – Ira James Chambliss II, 28, 2807 St. Luke St., Meridian.
• Probation violation/parole – Derrick Rodquos Dawson, 27, 2005 42nd Ave., Meridian.
• Possession of cocaine – Jermaine Henry Galloway, 43, 213 Audrey Circle, Ocean Springs.
• Probation violation/parole – Xavier Anthony Harris, 28, 5552 Charlie Dunn Road, Meridian.
