A two-car accident Monday morning on Highway 45 North in Lauderdale County killed a woman from Chunky.

Evelyn Skinner, 66, of Chunky, died in the accident that occurred around 11 a.m. about three miles north of Marion, according to Sgt. Andy West of Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop H.

Skinner’s 2001 Honda collided with Roman Grassaree’s 2014 Dodge, causing Skinner’s car to leave the highway and overturn, West said.

Grassaree, 27, of Macon, sustained no injuries, West said.

Police have not yet determined a cause for the accident.
