A two-car accident on 8th Street ended with at least one driver hospitalized.

An orange SUV and a gray Toyota sedan collided shortly before noon at 8th Street and 26th Avenue. The front end of the SUV and wthe front, driver’s side corner of the sedan were damaged. 

Metro Ambulance took a woman, the driver of the SUV, to a local hospital. The extent of her injuries was unavailable. 

The other driver’s condition was also unavailable. 

Wreckers removed both damaged cars from the intersection.

Meridian Fire and Rescue responded, along with four patrol cars from Meridian Police Department and Metro ambulance.
