Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Larceny, less than trespassing – Jarrod Wayne Cain, 26, 6401 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault – Michelle Roland, 40, 1420 16th Ave., Meridian. Roland is also charged with petit larceny.

• Malicious mischief – Andrew Burnside, born in 1978, 12449 Sharp Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault – Tamela Boston, born in 1991, 802 Donald Ave., Meridian.

Commercial Burglary

• 2800 block of Eighth Street, Meridian.

 

Residential Burglaries

• 2700 block of 40th Street, Meridian.

• 4000 block of Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.

Shootings

• 4700 block of 40th Street, Meridian.

Meridian Police responded to 5 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Possession of stolen property – Dominique Ashford, 32, 1703 35th Ave., Meridian. Ashford is also charged with sale of cocaine.

• Possession of marijuana in vehicle – Gabriel Latrell Bell Jr., 23, 1698 Willow Lake Road, Toomsuba. Bell is also charged with improper equipment, expired tag and no liability insurance.

• Aggravated assault, two counts – Keenan Demon Chaney, 25, 2128 29th Ave., Meridian.

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Bryan Lakeith Haynes, 31, 2216 Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Deondray Levonta Hopson, 23, 8059 Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, Meridian. Hopson is also charged with giving false ID information.
