Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Counterfeit instrument, forgery – Wiley Elijah Bell, 51, 925 40th Ave., Meridian.
• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Rodney Lipsey, 23, 1526 48th Ave., Meridian.
• Malicious mischief/vandalism – Taquaisha Aaliyah Teachey, 19, 5433 Highway 513, Stonewall. Teachey is also charged with fighting and assualt on a minor.
• Simple assault – Jessica Jay Weeks, 24, 5985 Highway 80 West, Lawrence. Weeks is also charged with disturbance in public place and disorderly conduct.
• Simple assault, domestic – Jeremy Campbell, born in 1986, 3726 Ninth Court, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Anthony Barfield, born in 1987, 1801 24th St., Meridian.
• Simple assault – David Adkins, born in 1976, 5326 Gene Carr Road, Meridian. Adkins is also charged with shoplifting.
• Simple assault, domestic – Justin Deloach, born in 1986, 325 Concord Road, Meridian.
• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Willie Coleman, born in 1964, 407 Oak Ave., Meridian. Coleman is also charged with possession of marijuana, careless driving and improper turn.
• Willful trespassing – Eric Ragsdale, born in 1980, 1907 37th Ave., Meridian.

• 6600 block of Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.
• 1000 block of 18th Street, Meridian.
Stolen Vehicle
• 100 block of 71st Place, Meridian.
Commercial Burglary
• 1100 block of North Frontage Road, Meridian.
Residential Burglaries
• 1700 block of 22nd Avenue, Meridian.
• 1700 block of 16th Avenue, Meridian.
Shootings
• 1300 block of 43rd Avenue, Meridian.
• 2600 block of Edgewood Drive, Meridian.
• 1300 block of 19th Avenue, Meridian.
• 2400 block of 16th Avenue, Meridian.
Meridian Police responded to 23 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• DUI, second offense – Terry L. Bishop, 26, 154 Old Pinson Road, Jackson, Tenn. Bishop is also charged with disregard of traffic device, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana in vehicle.
• DUI, other substance – Hunter Card, 19, 8934 Hillview Drive, Meridian. Card is also charged with careless driving and possession of marijuana, first offense.
• DUI, first offense – Christopher Chapman, 57, 598 River Road, Stonewall. Chapman is also charged with speeding, no liability insurance and driving without a license.
• DUI, second offense – Jacoby Terrell Dunnigan, 27, 3008 22nd St., Meridian. Dunnigan is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm, fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle, trespassing, disregard of traffic device, driving with a suspended license and probation violation/parole.
• Intent to be fraudulent – Gregory Fortner, 33, 4606 East Prisock Drive, Lauderdale.
• Simple assault, domestic – Randy Huett, 31, 9550 Sam Road, Meridian.
• Failure to appear (justice court), two counts – Christopher Blaise Johnson, 35, 2201 42nd St., Meridian.
• Possession of paraphernalia – Robert Patrick Langlois, 25, 3650 Highway 145 North, Quitman.
• False pretense – Justin Daniel Lee, 28, 238 Ward Road, Columbus.
• Petit larceny – Kelsy Dynequa May, 24, 4301 Hickory Hills Circle, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Tavalus Leonmanuel McDonald, 24, 523 Willie Warner Road, Shubuta. McDonald is also charged with driving without a license, no liability insurance and seat belt violation.
• Possession of marijuana in vehicle – Brandon Tyler Oakes, 19, 3807 Highway 45 North, Meridian. Oakes is also charged with no liability insurance and disregard of traffic device.
• Aggravated assault – Derrick Cole Peterson, 26, 2015 Mosby Road, Meridian.
• Probation violation/parole – Marwin Jerel Rankin, 37, 227 Gyther Fairley Road, Lucedale.
• Probation violation/parole – Benjamin Cole Truitt, 22, 2861 Highway 19 South, Meridian.
• Simple assault, two counts – Paula Faye Waltman, 38, 6402 Zero Road, Meridian. Waltman is also charged with petit larceny.
