Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Petit larceny – Andrew Lee Bennoman, 28, 204 55th Ave., Meridian.

• Petit larceny – Stephen Ryan Prescot Funches, 34, 9891 Morgan Road, Meridian. Funches is also charged with simple assault, domestic.

• Malicious mischief/vandalism – Sharderrick Lamar Ruffin, 24, 1128 Bottn Road, Lisman, Ala. Ruffin is also charged with domestic violence.

• Disorderly conduct – Angela Williams, 44, 1618 Eighth Ave., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana in motor vehicle – William Combs, born in 1994, 6384 Timbertrail Drive, Meridian.

Robbery

• 1000 block of North Frontage Road, Meridian.

Residential Burglaries

• 3300 block of State Boulevard, Meridian.

• 4000 block of 23rd Avenue, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 4 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Timothy John Allen, 44, 5873 Omitted Road, Meridian. Allen is also charged with failure to yield to emergency vehicle, driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance and careless driving.

• Trespassing – Richard Kaine Caffey, 21, 5196 Zero Road, Meridian.

• Possession of paraphernalia – Troy Allen Nix, 33, 1169 Old Highway 80, Meridian.

• Failure to pay (justice court) – Melissa Dawn Rawson, 38, 5566 Dale Drive, Marion.
