Meridian police are investigating the report of an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to a call of an armed robbery at 2:32 p.m. at the Sleep Inn, 1000 block of North Frontage Road. 

Meridian Police Department Sgt. Dareall Thompson said the victim stated that two black men robbed him of cash at gunpoint.

Thompson said the investigation into the report is continuing. There were no injuries reported.
