Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

• Disorderly conduct – Christian S. Bennett, 31, 1422 18th St., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Christopher William Scott, 29, 3040 Rob Sims Road, Meridian. Scott is also charged with simple assault.

• Simple assault, domestic – Andreas Hillie, born in 1984, 10120 Weldwood Drive, Meridian.

Incident Reports

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday:

Commercial Burglary

• 1400 block of 14th Street, Meridian.

Residential Burglaries

• 4300 block of Fifth Street, Meridian.

• 1800 block of 24th Street, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 4 shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

• Burglary of dwelling, house – Elena Garza Connell, 24, 383 Briarwood Road, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Jim Delker, 55, 8946 Lake Flora Drive, Meridian. Delker is also charged with following too closely and no liability insurance.

• False pretense – Johnny Richard Malone, 55, 3985 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – David Lynn Thompson, 30, 6815 Tate St., Bay St. Louis.
