Attendees will be given a packet of information about the school and provided an opportunity to meet with representatives from student services. EMCC student ambassadors will conduct a presentation.

“The student ambassadors will talk about why they chose EMCC, what advice they have for the future students and about scholarships they were able to take advantage of,” EMCC Recruiter Lindsey Storey said.

The program is interactive and attendees are encouraged to ask questions. Following the presentation, the visitors will be paired with student ambassadors, who will lead them on tours of the campus.

Lunch will be provided after the campus tours are completed.

Students who will miss school to attend the event are encouraged to get permission from officials at their high school.

“We do provide proof that a student really did come to the event but it is up to the high school to honor that excuse,” Storey said.

In addition to the Nov. 4 event, “First Fridays” are also planned for Feb. 3, 2017, and March 3, 2017.
