Pedestrian struck by vehicle Wednesday night in Meridian

A pedestrian was injured Wednesday night after being struck by a vehicle in Meridian.
The accident occured around 8:30 p.m. at 20th Street and 33rd Avenue, according to Meridian Police Sgt. Dareall Thompson.
The pedestrian was intoxicated and appeared to have walked into the path of the vehicle, Thompson said.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No charges are pending.
