Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Rodrick Marquez Armstrong, 20, 1318 19th St., Meridian. Armstrong is also charged with giving false ID information.

• Simple assault – Samuel Edwards, 43, 3117 Valley St., Meridian.

• Attempted credit card fraud – Darryl Robert Swayne, 22, 2714 King St., Macon, Ga.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Burglary of commercial building, cars, etc. – Shane Roderick Burton, 27, 5497 County Road 9, Cuba, Ala.

• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Michael Ray Durham, 41, 5309 Mini Farm Road, Meridian. Durham is also charged with careless driving and driving without a license.

• Probation violation/parole – Miranda K. Ezell, 36, 8780 Okatibbee dam Road, Collinsville.

• Failure to pay (justice court) – Jeffery Max Russell, 45, 1061 Aycock Road, Meridian.

• Motor vehicle theft, felony – Robert Eugene Todd, 28, 3584 Knox Road, Toomsuba.
