Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Failure to pay child support – Andrew Lee Burnside, 38, 12449 Sharpe Road, Meridian. Burnside is also charged with contempt of court.

• Shoplifting – Charles Ronald Hembree, 31, 398 Shelton Shelby Road, Toomsuba.

• Failure to pay child support – Joseph Leshon Johnson, 47, 314 Fifth Ave., Meridian. Johnson is also being held for outside agency.

• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Carl Leshaun Jordan, 36, 4715 13th St., Meridian. Jordan is also charged with simple assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

• Disorderly conduct – Oliver Marsh, 62, 914 Bonita Drive, Meridian. Marsh is also charged with public drunkenness and public profanity.

• Shoplifting – Sherry Darlene Morris, 51, 1719 Road 282, Vossburg. Morris is also charged with public drunkenness, disturbing the peace and public profanity.

• Shoplifting, second offense – William Randall Oglesby, 54, 47 County Road 487, Meridian. Oglesby is also charged with disorderly conduct.

• Driving under the influence (DUI), second offense – Edward Albert Street, 59, 486 Honey Ridge Road, Guyton, Ga. Street is also charged with obstructing traffic and driving with a suspended license.

The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Friday through Sunday:

Auto Burglaries

• 4900 block of 14th Street, Meridian.

• 418 block of Lake Drive, Meridian.

• 1800 block of 22nd Street, Meridian.

Residential Burglaries

• 1600 block of 65th Avenue, Meridian.

• 1100 block of 30th Avenue, Meridian.

• 5100 block of 14th Court, Meridian.

Shootings

• 1100 block of 29th Avenue, Meridian.

Meridian Police responded to six shots-fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was no evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Failure to appear (justice court) – Tori Danyelle B. Atkinson, 32, 303 Spring Drive, Butler, Ala.

• Contributing to the delinquency of a minor – Jeremy Bagwell. 21, 374 Indian Drive, Meridian.

• Trespassing – Jason Mark Busby, 33, 2286 Old Wire Road, Meridian.

• Failure to appear (justice court), two counts – Makari Melanie Byrd, 33, 775 Metts St., Louisville.

• Underage consumption of alcohol – Devin Collins, 18, 11584 Burrage Road, Enterprise.

• Contributing to the delinquency of a minor – Kandi Collins, 21, 11584 Burrage Road, Enterprise.

• Failure to pay child support – Curtis J. Gowdy Jr., 42, 3838 52nd St., Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Anthony Morris Jemison, 49, 143 Jemison St., Cuba, Ala. Jemison is also charged with seat-belt violation and no liability insurance.

• DUI, second offense – Timothy Dalton McArthur, 23, 383 Briarwood Road, Meridian. McArthur is also charged with seat-belt violation, running a stop sign, driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance and no license tag.

• Trespassing – Samantha Sierra Naylor, 27, 268 Old Wire Road, Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Kenneth Ray Neal Jr., 31, 6338 Mosley Lake Road, Meridian.

• Underage consumption of alcohol – James Randall, 20, 3506 Ridgeway Road, Toomsuba.

• Trespassing – Travis Eugene Sullivan III, 23, 1534 Long Creek Road, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Melvin Walk, 49, 1979 Bunk Newell Road, Meridian. Walk is also charged with careless driving.
