The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Probation violation/parole – Corey Tyrell Chambers, 24, 3235 Russell Mt. Gilead Road, Meridian.

• Simple assault, two counts – Joshua Lee Davis, 29, 6915 Valley Road, Meridian.

• Trespassing – William W. Duett, 53, 1616 34th Ave., Meridian.

• Carrying a concealed weapon – Alan Michael Gaston, 34, homeless. Gaston is also charged with begging.

• Public drunkenness – Lamarcus Deandra Hailes, 26, 523 56th Ave., Meridian. Hailes is also charged with giving false information.

• Armed robbery, seven counts – Johntavus Jaquan Neal, 20, 1010 31st Ave., Meridian.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• DUI, first offense – Dawanna Budd, 48, 510 Mountain View Road, Robbins, Texas. Budd is also charged with no liability insurance.

• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Scequante J. Emerson, 28, 503 37th Ave., Meridian. Emerson is also charged with seat-belt violation and driving with a suspended license.

• Failure to appear (justice court) – Johnny Frank Gowdy, 53, 9735 Gowdy Road, Lauderdale.

• Disturbance in public place – Robert Lee Gowdy, 57, 1120 Eighth Ave., Meridian.

• Probation violation/parole – Ashley Cumberland Johnson, 35, 9507 Extension Road, Lauderdale.

• Telephone harassment – Joshua Andrew Moore, 22, 7850 David Newell Road, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Joshua Mantrel Sloan, 39, 5626 Highway 80 West, Meridian. Sloan is also charged with improper equipment and expired driver’s license.

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Roderick Timothy Wiley II, 28, 3319 Davis St., Meridian.

The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Malicious mischief/vandalism – Taquantis Lavon Bell, 23, 2032 26th Ave., Meridian. Bell is also charged with trespassing and probation violation/parole.
