Mr. Nabors, Miss Parker

Glenn and Cathy Parker of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Haley, to Scott Nabors, son of Colonel Mike Nabors and Ms. Beth Nabors, both of Meridian. 

The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at 4 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Suqualena.

Miss Parker is the granddaughter of Frances Butts James and the late James L. Butts of Suqualena and the late Norman and Dorothea Parker of Meridian.

The bride-elect is a 2012 graduate of West Lauderdale High School. She currently attends Mississippi State University, where she is pursuing a degree in microbiology. She plans to graduate in August 2016.

Mr. Nabors is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy L. Nabors of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Boatman of Eupora.

The bridegroom-elect is a 2011 graduate of Lamar High School and 2015 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in sports studies.

Mr. Nabors is employed by Crystal Springs High School as an assistant baseball coach.
