The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Felon in possession of a firearm – Robert Lee Gowdy, 57, 1120 Eighth Ave., Meridian.

• Public drunkenness – Michael Conner, born in 1984, 624 52nd Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault, domestic – Josh Thrash, born in 1982, 1610 13th Ave., Meridian.

• Willful trespassing – Lamarcus L. Lockhart, born in 1990, 2201 33rd Ave., Meridian.

• 500 block of 46th Avenue, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 5 shots fired calls but when officers arrived on scene there was not any evidence found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

• Uttering forgery – Sharunda Trenese Freelove, 31, 5255 Anchor Point, Valdosta, Ga.

• Probation violation/parole – Jeremy Sumrall, 26, 3348 Harper Road, Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Robert J. Terry, 50, Rt. 1 Box 114, Porterville. Terry is also charged with resisting arrest, possession of controlled substance and two counts of failure to appear (justice court).

• Arson, two counts – James William Wiggins, 52, 830 Harbor Road, Meridian.
