Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Leroy Bowden, 30, 102 Tuxedo Lane, Newton. Bowden is also charged with contempt of court.

• Armed robbery – Jacorey Brown, 24, 311 Curl Road, York, Ala. Brown is also being held for outside agency.

• Public drunkenness – Nicholas Caine Johnson, 36, 2201 42nd St., Meridian. Johnson is also charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

• Simple assault, domestic – Ceolyar Spencer III, born in 1972, 1108 26th Ave., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence (DUI) – Johnny B. Simpson, born in 1974, 3523 Susan Kennedy Road, Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Nehesha T. Collins, born in 1988, 2110 16th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault, domestic – Romeal Binker, born in 1984, 1721 Marion Russell Road, Meridian.

• Malicious mischief – Carlton Edwards, born in 1983, 5667 Cooper Circle, Meridian.

• Trespassing – Justin Hosley, born in 1987, 3812 44th St., Meridian.

• DUI – James H. Murphy, born in 1998, 3991 John A. Reed Road, Meridian.

Shootings

Meridian Police responded to 2 shots fired calls but when the officers arrived on the scene no evidence was found to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

• Stalking – Cody Allen Adank, 29, 4432 Long Creek Cutoff Road, Meridian. Adank is also charged with telephone harassment.

• Failure to appear (justice court), seven counts – Sabrina Star Baldwin, 19, 311 Branch Estates Road, Meridian. Baldwin is also charged with two counts of failure to pay (justice court) and contempt of court.

• Failure to appear (justice court), eleven counts – Carlton Earl Edwards, 33, 5667 Cooper Circle, Meridian. Edwards is also charged with four counts of failure to pay (justice court).

• Contempt for child support – Eddie J. Gibbs, 51, 7100 Highway 80 West, Meridian.

• Larceny, under lease or rental agreement – Howard Christian Jones, 31, 10206 McCran Road, Meridian.

• DUI, felony – Jeremy Alan Snyder, 28, 63 Autumn Lane, Columbus.
