Trotter, Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Lydia Trotter of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Nicole, to Cory Montrell Smith, son of Mr. Charles Smith and Mrs. Ronda Curry-Johnson, both of Bartlett, Tenn.

The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Anastasia Baptist Church in Saint Augustine, Fla.

Miss Trotter is the granddaughter of Mrs. Laura Trotter, the late Luther Trotter and the late Bernard and Dorothy Labat.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Meridian High School and a 2009 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. She also graduated from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2013 with a master of occupational therapy and in 2015 with a doctor of physical therapy. 

Miss Trotter is employed by First Coast Rehabilitation in Saint Augustine, Fla., as a physical and occupational therapist. 

Mr. Smith is the grandson of Mrs. Sarah Moore, the late Edward and Elma Curry and the late James Smith.

The bride-groom elect is a 2005 graduate of Bartlett High School and 2009 graduate of Rhodes College, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in history. He also graduated from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in 2014 with a doctor of physical therapy.

Mr. Smith is employed by Advanced Rehabilitation in Yulee, Fla., as a physical therapist.
