The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Trespassing – TaQuantis L. Bell, born in 1993, 2032 26th Avenue, Meridian.

• Simple assault, domestic – Vivian Roberts, born in 1953, 803 29th St., Meridian.

• Public drunkenness – Gary Eugene Moton, 41, 1621 Seventh St., Meridian. Moton is also charged with resisting arrest and giving false ID information.

• Shoplifting – Cecil L. Robinson, 55, 903 35th Ave., Meridian.

• Simple assault, domestic – Howard E. Mobley, born in 1972, 625 52nd Ave., Meridian.

• Driving under the influence (DUI) – Mikel Shane Jenson, born in 1992, 6076 Woodland Ridge Road, Meridian.

• DUI – Johnny Kirkwood, born in 1981, 3929 South St., Meridian.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

• Failure to appear (justice court), two counts – Richard Luther Coburn III, 28, 541 Evanston Road, Hattiesburg.

• Embezzlement – Mattie Latasha Hopson, 34, 8059 Land Toomsuba Road, Meridian. Hopson is also charged with no liability insurance and speeding.

• Malfunctioning wastewater disposal system – Willie Earl Lewis Jr., 58, 11295 Hill Thompson Road, Collinsville.

• Simple assault on a police officer, two counts – William Dashun Love, 32, 565 Dogwood Lake Road, Meridian. Love is also charged with shoplifting.

• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute – Renardo William Pruitt, 32, 3820 Ninth St., Meridian. Pruitt is also charged with felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of firearm with possession of controlled substance.
