Henry and Christine Mosley teamed up with former workers from East Mississippi State Hospital to create the Warriors Club of Meridian.

Christine Mosley says their efforts started last October when the group decided they wanted to volunteer anywhere, or anyway they could.

“We like to help people and so far we have had two fundraiser fish fries to raise money, and once a large amount is collected, we will donate it to a worthy cause,” she said. “It was so much fun doing the fish fries, so we decided why not do something we love doing, while helping to make someone else’s life better.”

Plans are also in the works to have the first Mississippi-Alabama Hospital Workers Ball with proceeds going back into Lauderdale County.

“Once we get all the money together we have raised we will give it to support places like L.O.V.E.’s Kitchen, Wesley House, or Multi-County,” Mosley said.

The fundraiser will be held July 29 at the Council of Organizations Building on 45th Avenue.

Tickets will be available next month for $20, and $25 at the door the night of the event.
