MSU-Meridian hosts induction ceremonies for honor societies

- MSU-Meridian recently held induction ceremonies for Phi Alpha, an international honor society for social work students and professionals. Phi Alpha recognizes students who are social work majors, achieved sophomore status, have an overall GPA of 3.0 on all course work and achieved a 3.25 GPA in required social work courses. Inductees: front row, Ava Cumberland, Melissa West, Maria Diener, Brandi Goss, Andrea Gowdy and Teresa Lynch; back row, Jeremy Ormond, Yolanda Porter and Audrey Jones.
1. PSI CHI INDUCTEES
MSU-Meridian recently held induction ceremonies for Psi Chi, an international honor society whose purpose
shall be to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields and
to advance the science of Psychology. Members typically come from the top 25 percent of all psychology majors, must have a 3.30 overall GPA and demonstrate interpersonal character and be committed to the betterment of MSU-Meridian and the field of Psychology. Inductees pictured are: Jerry Hazlip, Sarah Hagwood and Dr. Rod Wilson, advisor. Not pictured: Eboni Goree, Kebrina Hill and Reba Thorton.
