Meridian Police Department

The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• Motor vehicle theft – Lili Denise Young, 55, 312 South Fredonia, Longview, Texas.

• Disorderly conduct – Jariko Quantrell Chaney, 34, 1730 30th Ave., Meridian. Chaney is also charged with resisting arrest and contempt of court.

• Simple assault, domestic – Elton Wayne Fairley, 30, 2427 24th Ave., Meridian. Fairley is also charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, contempt of court and being held for outside agency.

• Shoplifting – Christopher Ryan Thompson, 23, 901 C Street, Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Teasia M. Warren, born in l1994, 4524 Highway 39, Meridian.

• Simple assault, threat – Treyveon Walker, born in 1997, 610 Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian. Walker is also charged with simple assault on a minor.

• DUI – Janet T. Lopez, born in 1962, 301 63rd Place, Meridian.

• Shoplifting – Kimberly R. Carter, born in 1983, 5180 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

• Carrying a concealed weapon – Javirus L. Page, born in 1997, 4509 Third St., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Demarkus L. Walker, born in 1991, 3849 25th St., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Jelani Brown Jr., born in 1997, 705 17th St., Meridian.

• Giving false information – Laura B. Thurman, born in 1975, 539 Poplar Springs Drive, Meridian.

• Petit larceny – Cory Reed, born in 1987, 7100 Old Highway 80, Meridian. Reed is also charged with petit larceny.

• DUI – Ashley Fay Melton, born in 1992, 6772 Center Hill Road, Meridian.

• DUI – Matthew Brown, born in 1992, 3911 25th Ave., Meridian.

• DUI – Spencer Walker, born in 1988, 4791 Thomas Walker Road, Meridian.

• DUI – Carrie A. House, born in 1986, 2330 County Road 270, Meridian.

• DUI – Christopher Body, born in 1983, 1439 Newton Bottom Road, Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Shamal Collins, born in 1995, 2714 Grandview Ave., Meridian. Collins is also charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon.

• DUI – Keesha Pruitt, born in 1992, 3820 Ninth St., Meridian.

• Possession of marijuana – Heyden Smith, born in 1997, 10793 Highway 493, Meridian. Smith is also charged with possession of paraphernalia.

• Possession of marijuana – Asia S. Dubose, born in 1992, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

• DUI – Johnny Walker, born in 1988, 2809 40th Ave., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Chanquez Alford, born in 1983, 301 63rd Place, Meridian. Alford is also charged with public drunkenness.

• DUI – Kioko Betts, born in 1977.

• Giving false information – Aaron Lard, born in 1995, 1005 38th Ave., Meridian.

Meridian police responded to 23 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

• DUI, first offense – Thomas James Boswell, 47, 2323 Highway 496, Meridian.

• DUI – Kimberly Rochelle Carter, 32, 5180 Causeyville Road, Meridian. Carter is also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, shoplifting, child endangerment and six counts of contempt of court.

• DUI, first offense – Tony A. Clark, 57, 3428 69th Ave., Meridian. Clark is also charged with careless driving and seat-belt violation.

• DUI, first offense – Crystal R. Creel, 34, 7691 Pine Springs Road, Meridian. Creel is also charged with careless driving, driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance and child endangerment.

• DUI, felony – Roby Lametrius Curtis, 24, 2226 35th Ave., Meridian. Curtis is also charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance, expired tag, disturbance in a public place and public profanity.

• DUI, first offense – Jason Duncan, 40, 12670 Leeville Road, Collinsville.

• Motor vehicle theft, felony – Patrick Dean Earl, 35, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Christopher Adam Heiser, 19, 8493 Lizelia Road, Meridian. Heiser is also charged with careless driving and seat-belt violation.

• Failure to appear (justice court), two counts – Orlando L. Hopson, 44, 1524 Tenth Ave., Meridian. Hopson is also charged with driving with a suspended license, no liability insurance and improper equipment.

• Failure to pay (justice court), two counts – Johnny W. James, 39, 5044 Highway 145 South, Meridian. James is also charged with telephone harassment, simple assault, stalking and driving with a suspended license.

• Possession of drugs within correctional facility – Randy Carl Marshall Sr., 26, 4408 Robin Hood Drive, Pascagoula.

• Failure to appear (justice court), two counts – Cornelius Jerome Newell, 35, 10455 Woods Road, Meridian.

• DUI, first offense – Steve Neil Robinson, 27, 5890 Oak Street, Meridian. Robinson is also charged with careless driving.

• Sale of methamphetamine, two counts – Melinda Nell Smith, 36, 2221 Alamuncha Whynot Road, Meridian. Smith is also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

• DUI, first offense – Daniel Brian Tiffery, 30, 1056 Haller Tau Drive, Sparks, Nevada. Tiffery is also charged with seat-belt violation.

• DUI, third offense – Robert White, 43, 2941 Rob Sims Road, Meridian. White is also charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and switched tag/license plate.
