Miss Benton

    Mrs. James Dudley Benton of Laurel Hill, La., announces the engagement of her daughter, Emma Noel, to Frank Perron, the son of Frank Perron Achorn Jr. and Ms. Vickie Achorn of Meridian.

    The wedding will be June 25, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at Grace Church of West Feliciana Parish in Saint Francisville, La.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Firman Babers III of Laurel Hill, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herbert Benton Sr.

    Miss Benton is a graduate of Wilkinson County Christian Academy in Woodville, Miss., and Lousiana State University.

    She is employed by Galvez Middle School in Prairieville, La., as an English language arts teacher.

    The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Frank Perron Achorn Sr. of Florence, Ala., and the late Mr. Achorn, the late Mrs. Jane Evelyn Achorn, the late Ms. Rita Mae Shockley and the late Mr. Ray Weslie Shockley.

    Mr. Achorn is a graduate of Meridian High School and Mississippi State University.

    He is employed by ExxonMobil as a chemical engineer.
