Ken LaBruyere and Mary Anne Catlett gear up for today’s spring festival at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church, during which Cajun-style boiled shrimp, potatoes, mushrooms and corn on the cob will be the main attraction. The annual event is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the North Meridian church, which is located at 3937 Poplar Springs Drive. Shrimp plates are $9; dine-in or take-out available.
