Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) – John J. Johnson, born in 1988, 8335 Oak Ridge Place, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Charles Edward Maxie Jr., 47, 904 27th Ave., Meridian.

    • Simple assault, domestic – Robert D. Reed, born in 1986, 2609 28th Ave., Meridian.

    • Trespassing – Madena Page, born in 1975, 1966 24th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Thomas G. Ashwell, born in 1979, 12176 Highway 494, Collinsville.

    • Shoplifting – Joshua Davis, born in 1987, 267 Briarwood Road, Meridian.

    • Public drunkenness – Domonique Avery, born in 1983, 3411 Hillside Road, Meridian. Avery is also charged with public profanity and giving false information.

    • False reporting of a crime – Sherron Smith, born in 1977, 2504 45th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI – Mareo L. Burton, born in 1984, 1888 Bunk Newell Road, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct, three counts – Danelle Walker, 41, 2225 16th Ave., Meridian. Walker is also charged with two counts of public profanity.

    • Public drunkenness – Reginald J. Jackson, born in 1966, 5704 42nd Court, Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Thursday to Friday:

Residential Burglaries

    • 1900 block of Fifth Avenue, Meridian.

    • 2700 block of Edgewood Drive, Meridian.

    

Shootings

    Meridian police responded to three shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

    • Simple assault, domestic – Kolin Jevon Boyd, 30, 4896 W. Crescent Lake Drive, Meridian.

    • DUI, second offense – Lisa Carol Forbert, 56, 2104 41st St., Meridian. Forbert is also charged with careless driving.

    • DUI, first offense – Steven C. Sodoma, 19, 2707 Sam Gray Road, Meridian. Sodoma is also charged with careless driving.

    • Uttering forgery, two counts – Laclora Ward, 25, 288 Fairview Circle, Ward, Ala.
